Wait a Second-Who Did You Say Was on Columbia's "Investigating Committee"?!
Three other Columbia University staff testified before the university's internal investigating committee in support of the whistleblower veterinarian. All three had direct knowledge of animal mistreatment in Columbia's laboratories, and they told their stories. One has left the university entirely, one has been banished from the primate, dog, and pig laboratories, and one was immediately relieved of her responsibility to oversee dogs used in an experiment being conducted by the chair of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). We can only guess that he wasn't pleased about having someone who actually cared about animals overseeing his dogs. Another member of the committee, David Pinsky, is directly involved in the baboon stroke experiments. There can be no question that this is a conflict of interest.
